Coming Days of Judgement

In the far distant past, God stood upon the pinnacle of Time. He surveyed all that He had made, and saw that it was good. Being the GOD of perfection and beauty, He loved to gaze upon the lush and intricate works in nature. Then one day, He decided something was missing. So, He made man from the physical earth, and then breathed life into this man of clay and he became a living soul.

GOD´s heart must have overflowed with joy as he looked upon the first man and woman. And silently he whispered, "Now I have children to watch over and protect. We will fellowship with mankind and share with them all the mysteries of the universe. We will walk hand in hand in the spectacular garden. And so it was for a time. Then chaos filled this new world, and all was changed.

In His sadness, GOD looked forward into the ages to come, to see what man (whom He had created in His own image) would become outside of his shattered now imperfect world. His eyes must have filled with tears and his heart ached with grief, as He viewed the final years of Earth´s history.

Man had taken the perfect world and reduced it to a planet filled with hatred, violence, and unmentionable sin. These were men bent on becoming gods in their own right. Yet, with all of their knowledge and earthly wisdom, they destroyed even the air GOD gave them to breathe.

Weeping over the final lot of mankind, He knew that He could not condemn the whole world. For there had to be at least a few righteous left in this corrupt, evil world of the end days. He knew that He must write a road map for those righteous few, who would refuse to bow to the pagan idols, the gods of money, sex, greed, self-will,violence and every imaginable sin. So He devised a plan to save those who would listen, obey, and believe. But long before His Son came to Earth to bring Salvation, God ordained righteous men of old to be His spokesmen. The Holy Spirit breathed GOD´s Words into the minds and spirits of these prophets of old. Each word of every prophecy was divinely designed as a road map for the future.

Hundreds of years ago, these living letters were penned. Many of these prophecies have already met completion during the Old Testament Times. Some of these seemed like hidden mysteries, and disjointed events destined for the far flung future. But those prophets wrote each word without question. Even just decades ago, the mighty men of GOD, could only guess at the meanings of some of the prophecies of old. But now, most of these prophecies from centuries ago, lay open before us, as mirror images of the nightly News. The Old and New Testaments prophecies woven in the past, now present a miraculous tapestry stitched in Time.

Had God wanted all to look at these truths and immediately know the future, He wouldn´t have hidden the mysteries until now. His plan was for the righteous, not the wicked. This is why the carnal minds cannot comprehend the future events that lay before us. They can only scoff and chide the believers. It is only those with spiritual minds who are given the knowledge and wisdom to understand His plan for the ages.

The Old Testament prophecies line up with the New Testament prophets who were also ordained by GOD, and assisted by the Holy Spirit. Without the prophecies of the Old Testament, the book of Revelation would indeed seem like an allergory as some still suppose. But it is much more than that. It is the final age of mankind and the world as we now know it.

The end time days began when the church age was birthed. Multiple prophecies predict the last days, and it is clearly visible to those who study prophecy, that we are indeed living in the final years (or perhaps even days), of the endtimes.

I have had many people people dispute the fact that prophecy exists, while others contend that the time frame for these prophecies are all past history. Some even believe that the Book of Revelation is just one crazy man´s (John the revelator) dreams while being exiled on the Isle of Patmos. But the truth of GOD´s Words are all the evidence we need. Because the fact is, the Holy Spirit put the words in the minds and on the tongues of the prophets. Many of these prophecies were for the time period in which they were written, and many others were fulfilled hundreds of years later. But there are countless prophecies about the time in which we now live... the last days. Some of those prophecies even seem to contain a two-fold meaning, or prophecies that have already been fulfilled in time past, but hold an underlying meaning for today´s events.

And, yes, studying prophecy can be confusing, frustrating, and mind boggling. But this only happens when we try to understand all of it at once, or when we fail to read and understand all the prophecies that pertain to a certain event. The only way to real understanding of prophecy is under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

For this reason, I will start from the beginning so those who know little about prophecy can learn the basics. This may be a refresher course for many, and even boring to those who already have a good footing on prophecy, but the purpose of these pages is to learn and be blessed. It is my hope that these pages will be an awakening to the truth, and full understanding of what prophecy is all about. I will strive to give you Biblical truth and back it up with the appropriate scriptures. I will not get into denominationals issues of the rapture and second coming. However, at some point, I may address the theories of these events.

I refuse to argue about any of the theories or the events predicted. It is my belief, that each of us must ascertain in our own hearts and minds what we believe about this time period. I included the prophecy pages on my site for those who desire a deeper understanding of the days in which we now live. I will endeavor to bring you what the Word clearly states, and I pray that it will be a helpful guide that blesses you and makes you hungry for the Truth of these mysteries.

Prophecy Terms

• Eschatology: The study of end-time events.
• Antichrist: A future dictator who attempts to control the world just prior to the Second Coming of Christ (2 Thess. 2:3-9).
• Abomination of Desolation: A future incident when Antichrist enters into the rebuilt Jewish temple and declares himself to be God. (Dan. 9:27, Matt. 24:15, 2 Thess. 2:3-4). This occurs in the exact middle of the 7-year tribulation period.
• Millennium: The 1,000 year reign of Christ upon earth which follows the Second Coming (Rev. 20:2-4)
• New Earth: After earth is destroyed at the end of the Millennium, God will create a new (atmospheric) heaven and a new earth which will last for eternity (Rev.21:1, Isa. 65:17, 66:22, 2 Pet. 3:10-13).
• New Jerusalem: The heavenly city, which will come down out of heaven to the New Earth, after this present earth is destroyed (Rev. 21:1-2, 10-27).
• Rapture: When Jesus returns in the clouds to receive the church into heaven (John 14:1-3, 1 Thess. 4:13-17). Those Christians who have died will be resurrected and those who are alive will be instantly translated into glorified bodies (1 Cor. 15:51-54). This is not the same event as the Second Coming.
• Second Coming: When Jesus returns from heaven to earth at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (Zech. 14:1-3, Rev. 19:11-21).
• Tribulation: The final 7 years before Christ returns to earth at the Second Coming. Begins when the Antichrist confirms a 7-year covenant with Israel. The tribulation is split into two halves of 3 1/2 years each, divided in the middle when the Antichrist stops the sacrifices in the temple (Dan. 9:27). The 3 1/2 years are also referred to as 1,260 days (Rev. 11:3, 12:6), 42 months (Rev. 11:2, 13:5)
