It is very important to remember that Salvation is the starting point.  We need to realize that God saves us, but He does not destroy the carnal nature of the natural birth. The New Birth does not imply the ‘eliminatation´ in your old carnal nature, nor a change in it. What it does imply is that a absolutely new nature has been born of the Holy Spirit of God, and the two natures now reside together in the believer, through the Lord Jesus Christ. The conflict of the flesh and Spirit is a struggle that every Christian must win, otherwise we become a fleshly Christian and not a Spiritual one.

The old nature is so corrupt and vile and is not subject to sanctification. The New nature is pure and holy and does not require sanctification. What then needs to be sanctified? The new believer is sanctified as he or she learns to walk in accordance with the dictates of the new nature. That person is directed by the Holy Spirit of God, because the believer is not just born of the Spirit, but also indwelt by the Spirit. We must walk in the Spirit if we are to be controlled by the Spirit. We can only walk in the Spirit, as our lives are truly surrendered to Christ on a daily basis.  Otherwise, the flesh will have a chance to creep in and the conflict will ensue. The flesh desires one thing and the Spirit another, and as long as there is not FULL surrender to the will of God, these two are in constant warfare.

We are human as well as spiritual beings and none of us are yet perfect (and will not be until the resurrection). Sometimes even the strongest of believers slip and fall and do things they never intended to do. But that does not mean we should re-enter the conflict. What we must do is immediately cry out to God, and ask for more mercy and grace, and then fall to our knees.  So, He brings before us the lust of the flesh, that He may shed His Light and expose the ugliness of sin in the presence of God. Repentance draws us back into right standing as we bow at the foot of His Cross. ~~ Tara Hart

BERWYN, Ill.

A band teacher was arrested and charged with sexually abusing 16 students. The teacher had tied young girls to chairs with duct tape and ropes, and then re-enacted bondage scenes from his porn collection.  (2005)

A former high school teacher accused of having sexual relations with a 17-year-old student, has been indicted on two charges of an improper relationship with a student. (2005)

A 30-year-old teaching intern, has been arrested after police found her with a 16-year-old male student in her car, as the woman's toddler was strapped into a car seat in the back. (2005)

CHARLESTON, W.Va.

A Middle School teacher, charged with having sex with four children under the age of 16, has resigned and surrendered her state-issued teaching certificate. She confessed to having sexual intercourse with three juveniles a total of four times, where the alleged incidents occurred. (2005)

A substitute teacher at a local high school was fired after students were shown photographs of the woman having sex.  The photos were on the teacher's camera phone, which was passed around in a health class at  School. (2005)

An Indiana National Guard recruiter was charged with sexually assaulting at least six women he enlisted in the military.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa

A former University of Pennsylvania professor and noted researcher in brain injury was sentenced to house arrest, for drugging a woman and then having sex with her against her will.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio

A  25 year old pastor is behind bars, accused of trying to solicit sex from what he thought was a teenage girl. He was caught in an Internet sexual predator sting. Police say the 14-year-old girl he´s supposedly trying to meet for sex was actually an undercover police officer.  He was charged with felony importuning and felony attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

DENVER, Colorado

A nationwide manhunt is underway for a sex offender accused of raping five people, including two young girls and their grandmother,  in Colorado.  He is also sought in connection with the molestation of an 8 year old Aurora boy last November as well. (2005)

Pastor Arrested ~ Charged With Sexual Abuse

COLUMBUS, Ohio

A pastor of a Church in Columbus, was arrested and charged with gross sexual imposition, and corrupting a minor.

The charges stem from allegations that he sexually molested a little girl. The victim's mother, says that  the pastor repeatedly molested her daughter over a four-year period, starting when she was seven years old.  The girl claims that the molesting occurred at a mutual friend's house, and also said that the man, threatened her that if she told anybody he would kill her mother. The pastor is currently being held in a county jail.

Ohio

An Ohio teacher\coach accused of raping a child appeared in court. His attorneys negotiated a lesser charge from rape to four counts of gross sexual imposition. He is accused of sexually assaulting a young family member over a year's time, between January 2004 and February  2005.

HOUSTON, Texas

An infant, who prosecutors say was sexually assaulted is expected to be released from a hospital and hopefully will make a full recovery. The 7-month-old baby has been removed from a respirator and is eating on her own now.  The baby suffered damage to every vital organ in her body because of the rape. The baby´s  tongue had been nearly completely severed, because of the sexual abuse when she was admitted to the hospital in Feb 2005.  Prosecutors confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.

LAKE WORTH, Fla.

An 8-year-old girl who had been sexually assaulted and buried under rocks in a trash bin was found alive Sunday by an officer searching a landfill, authorities said. A teenager was charged with attempted murder.

Grandfather Charged In Rape of Toddler

A grandfather appeared in court in July, where he was officially charged in the rape of his 2-year-old granddaughter. The 49-year-old man has been charged with rape, gross sexual imposition and kidnapping. His bail was set at $2 million. If he is convicted, he will spend the rest of his life in prison. (2005)

NASHVILLE, Tenn.

A Tennessee woman who hired a stripper to dance at her 16-year-old son's birthday is facing criminal charges.  The mother has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and involving a minor in obscene acts.  About ten teens under the age of 18 were at the party, including minors who were not related to the family. Authorities say they were notified by employees of a drug store about the party when the mother tried to have the lewd pictures developed.

SANTA ANA, Calif.

Three young men, were convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious teenage girl with a pool cue,  a  juice bottle and cigarettes as they filmed themselves on videotape. The key evidence was a 21-minute video of the 2002, attack. It was a very serious, very provocative, ugly scene on that video.

Guardian Accused of Molesting

A lawyer shot himself to death as jurors began deliberating whether he sexually assaulted two foster children he had been assigned to protect. Dunn was accused of sodomizing and sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy in 2002, and another boy from 1997 to 2003, when the child turned 13.

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

An Internet chat room monitor hired to keep children safe from sexual predators seduced a California  girl online and was about to meet her for sex when he was found out by a co-worker.

DALLAS, Texas

A longtime Boy Scouts of America official,  who directed a national task force to protect children from sexual abuse has been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.  The man, 61, was accused of receiving images over the Internet in February of children engaging in oral sex, intercourse and other sexually explicit conduct. The charges were filed by federal prosecutors in March 2005.  He was employed by the Boy Scouts for 39 years. He was a national program director and staff adviser of the Boy Scout's renowned Youth Protection Task Force. He managed the distribution of literature, video tapes, a Web site and other resources that teach children and adults at schools, churches and Boy Scout troops how to detect and prevent child abuse.

NORCO, Calif.

Two golf course managers and a tournament organizer were sentenced to house arrest for hosting two competitions featuring prostitutes and strippers stationed along the putting greens.  Superior Court Judge, chided the three for their "immoral and illegal actions" at the so-called girlie tournaments in spring 2002. More than a dozen prostitutes and strippers, including a 16-year-old girl, set up tents and advertised their services on boards. Two golfers have been convicted of engaging in prostitution, and the mother of the 16-year-old prostitute is charged with child endangerment and prostitution. (2002)

OKEECHOBEE, Fla.

A woman was arrested for allegedly forcing her 12-year-old daughter into prostitution and trading a 14-year-old daughter for a car. The 39-year-old woman was charged with aggravated child abuse and sexual performance by a child. The youngest girl and her mother were living out of their car, and would sell sex for food and an occasional shower at the men's homes. The youngest daughter is three months pregnant; she was 11 when her mother first forced her to have sex with a man.   

ESSEX JUNCTION, VT

The regulars at the Park Place Tavern weren't surprised when police raided what is being described as an Asian brothel in a small house across their shared driveway.  The now-closed Spa and two other health clubs in the area, to what police say is an international prostitution ring that smuggled Asian women into the United States and made them sex slaves. Modern-day slavery is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world.

ANGERS, France

French authorities opened one of the nation's most horrific pedophilia trials, charging that nearly four dozen babies and children were raped, sexually abused and prostituted by their parents for a little cash, food, alcohol or even cigarettes. Investigators say 45 children (from 6 months to 14 years old) were raped or sexually abused from 1999 to 2002, by their parents or people close to them who paid money, food, cigarettes or liquor. A grandfather of some of the children allegedly filmed rapes and other abuse. One girl was allegedly raped 45 times. Thirty-nine men and twenty-seven women were involved.

UNITED NATIONS

U.N. peacekeepers in Congo sexually abused and exploited women and girls, some as young as 13, according to a report released by a U.N. watchdog agency.

GOMA, Congo

Sylvie points at something in the distance, but the 7-year-old tries to get away from the area where she was raped by a U.N. peacekeeper. The spot where the crime took place was 20 yards from a U.N. base — 20 yards from the people who were supposed to keep her safe. "A U.N. man came from over there,’ Sylvie said. “He had candy and called us over. My friends ran away, but I went for the sweets. Then he did it to me." The rape may have damaged her internal organs and given her gonorrhea.  (2005)

SUVA, Fiji

A retired Australian university lecturer was sentenced to two years in prison for having homosexual sex with a local man in Fiji, where such acts are outlawed. The man, 55, told the magistrate he did not know it was illegal in Fiji to engage in sex with the 23  year old. Both were jailed for two years, after admitting charges of committing an unnatural offense and indecent behavior. The magistrate described their behavior as "something so disgusting that it would make any decent person vomit."

Former priest James Porter , whose widespread molestation of dozens of children foreshadowed the clergy sex abuse scandal that swept the Roman Catholic church. He died Friday.

BALTIMORE, Mass.

A defrocked priest was found guilty Thursday of molesting a former altar boy. The nation's Roman Catholic bishops said Friday that over the last year they received 1,092 new allegations of sexual abuse against at least 756 Catholic priests and deacons.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico

Two Roman Catholic priests in Puerto Rico's countryside were charged with sexually abusing four girls.  The girls were between the ages of 8 and 11 at the time of the acts, which took place between 2001 and 2002.

The priest in charge of caring for Polish pilgrims at the Vatican collaborated with the communist secret police in the 1980s during the reign of Polish native Pope John Paul II.

ST. PAUL, Minn.

A Roman Catholic priest denied communion to more than 100 people Sunday, saying they could not receive the sacrament because they wore rainbow-colored sashes to church to show support for gay Catholics. Before offering communion, the Rev. told the congregation at the Cathedral of St. Paul  that anyone wearing a sash could come forward for a blessing, but would not receive wine and bread.

ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland

A Roman Catholic diocese in eastern Canada  plans to sell all its churches and missions to raise the money to pay the victims of sexual assault by a priest who was convicted more than a decade ago, a bishop said.

The Catholic Diocese of St. George's  will sell about 150 properties to raise $10.5 million as part of a settlement for the victims of the Rev. Kevin Bennett, who was convicted in 1990 of hundreds of sexual assaults over three decades as a priest in the province of Newfoundland. The priest admitted his guilt and was sentenced to four years in prison in the early 1990s.  The 39 victims launched a civil suit in 1991.

U.S. Roman Catholic Church

The cost to the U.S. Roman Catholic Church  of sexual predators in the priesthood has climbed past $1 billion, according to tallies by American bishops and an Associated Press review of known settlements. And the figure is guaranteed to rise, probably by tens of millions of dollars, because hundreds more claims are pending.

Dioceses around the country have spent at least $1.06 billion on settlements with victims, verdicts, legal fees, counseling and other expenses since 1950, the AP found. A $120 million compensation fund announced last week by the Diocese of Covington, Ky., pushed the figure past the billion-dollar mark.

A large share of the costs — at least $378 million — have been incurred in just the past three years, when the crisis erupted in the Boston Archdiocese and spread nationwide.

SAN FRANCISCO

The Archdiocese of San Francisco has agreed to pay more than 16 (m) million dollars to settle a dozen lawsuits alleging sexual abuse.

Attorneys announced the agreements days before the first of several planned trials was to begin with plaintiffs alleging they were abused by the late Reverend Joseph Pritchard.

INDIANAPOLIS

The chairman of the Catholic lay reform group Voice of the Faithful predicted Saturday that the clergy sexual abuse scandal will eventually cost U.S. dioceses $2 billion to $3 billion.

Boston, where the scandal first erupted more than three years ago before spreading nationwide, reached an $85 million settlement with 552 people in 2003. The Diocese of Orange, Calif., settled 90 abuse claims for $100 million last December, followed by last month's settlement of $120 million by the Diocese of Covington, Ky

PORTLAND, Ore.

The bankrupt Diocese of Portland, Ore., faces claims topping $500 million, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will settle cases for at least $500 million and perhaps as much as $1.5 billion, he said.

For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one. And the men also turned from natural relations with woman and were set ablaze (consumed) with lust for one another--- men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalites the inevitalbe consequences and penalty of their wrongdoing and going astray, which was their fitting retribution. And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome. Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. They were full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. They were secret backbiters and gossipers, slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, and boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents.  They were without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless and merciless. Though they are fully aware of God´s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them.  (Romans 1: 24-32)
