When troubles come into our life,
Our path may be dark and seem uphill;
It's then, we must keep our Faith strong,
We need to rest awhile, pray and be still.
It's difficult sometimes to go on,
With tears on the cheeks to glisten;
We must press on and keep our Joy,
God has Promised He will always listen.
With Faith as a grain of mustard seed,
The night of dark despair will turn to day;
We will smile again as we walk on,
If we remember to be still and pray.
God has Promised He will never leave us,
We must have Faith and Trust in Him;
What He has Promised He will do,
If we follow Him, He will lead us from sin.
Without Faith, it's impossible to please God,
That would be a sad situation to be in;
Today, in Faith, we need to make Him our choice,
Then, some day, we will live forever with Him.

Tests Of Faith
There is a test, this day, on my Faith,
As trials come against my life;
It's my choice to trust or be afraid,
I can choose peace or live with strife.
God has a reason or a purpose,
I know not what is in His Great Plan;
I must never question or ask "why"
He holds me in the palm of His hand.
If I stumble on my troubled way,
He is there beside me before I fall;
I lean on Him for all my strength,
It is then ~ on Him I humbly call.
He calms my weary, troubled soul,
Then ~ He gives Peace and Joy to me;
If I obey His precious and Divine will,
From troubled times ~ He sets me free.
Family and friends share warmth and hope,
Expressions of love and a deep concern;
Their kindness proves God's wonderful Love,
For the Heavenly City above ~ I yearn.

Psalms -- Chapter 23
The Lord will always be my Shepherd,
On my journey of life, I lean on Him;
He provides for all things of need,
He helps me rise above all strife.
The pastures are cool, pleasant and green,
Here, in peace, there is quiet rest;
It's calm as He leads me beside still waters,
With His Love ~ I am wonderfully blest.
He restores my soul when weary,
He leads and cares along each path;
No need to fear evil ~ He is with me,
He comforts and protects against wrath.
My head is anointed with precious oil,
With my cup to spill and over-run;
He gives blessings and favors each day,
His Love gives Joy 'til life is done.
He leads, guides and directs my way,
He feeds me in the presence of my enemies;
His Goodness and Mercy follows me each moment,
Then, I'll dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Jesus Is The Answer
We must read the Bible, meditate and pray,
Humbly bow our head and knees;
God is with us each step of the way,
His presence is in a gentle breeze.
If the day seems lonely and long,
Seek Jesus, the best Friend I've known;
In our weakness we become strong,
Jesus is the Answer ~ we're not alone.
If the blue sky in our life is gray,
It's then we need to call on Jesus;
He will help us if we bow and pray,
We have His Promise ~ He Loves us.
Jesus is the Answer for all our needs,
He is only a whispered prayer away;
Our weary life He then gently leads,
If we abide in His Love and pray.
Jesus is the Answer for every one,
He had trials too, while on this earth;
There's Victory and the battle is won,
Our life has value of great worth.
Jesus is the Answer.

Armor Of God
Walk daily in the whole Armor of God,
While the fierce battle rages on;
We wrestle not against flesh and blood,
We are at war with Satan 'til he is gone.
We must stand firm with the belt of truth,
Then resist every attack of the enemy;
The wicked one will tremble and leave,
We will still be standing and free.
Wear the breastplate of righteousness,
Keep this on and wear it in place;
It turns away every attack the devil makes,
Be faithful to God and win this race.
Let your feet be prepared for this battle,
There's a great need for the Gospel of Peace;
Be bold and stand for what is right,
Keep pressing on 'til this battle shall cease.
Take the shield of faith and be strong,
Quench all fiery darts of the wicked one;
Use each piece of the whole Armor of God,
Stop every arrow aimed 'til Victory you've won.
Take the helmet of Salvation and wear it,
Take the Sword of the Spirit ~ the Bible;
It is the Word of God to feed our soul,
Be alert, watch and pray ~ don't be idle.
A new Child of God needs love and patience,
As a newborn baby needs milk to drink;
Each ~ needs nourishment and training,
There must be trust and faith to not shrink.
If there be any virtue or any praise,
Think about these things today;
There is power if we wear all of God's Armor,
We must be faithful and not forget to pray.

At Close Of Day
The day You gave was a busy one, Lord,
I needed You ~ couldn't make it on my own;
I found peace and joy written in Your Word,
While walking in the ways You have shown.
As I looked far beyond the horizon,
The Western sky brought You near;
I'll follow You 'til life's race is done,
Thank You, Lord, for friends so dear.
Each color in the evening's sunset glow,
Gives only a small glimpse of all You do;
The beauty we enjoy here on earth below,
Will be as nothing when in Heaven with You.
Heaven awaits us far beyond the sky,
The gates there will someday open wide;
We will leave this earth to meet on High,
Saints will be home and ushered inside.
The beauty there not made by man,
Will be a glorious place of Eternal rest;
It is all in God's wonderful Master Plan,
Where Saints will live to be forever blest.
So ~ thank You, Lord, for this busy day,
I will do the best I can and live for You;
Your Divine Word clearly shows the way,
Help me live obediently 'til life is through.
In the precious Name of Jesus...Amen.

Comfort For Today
There is a calm and peaceful rest,
Just a heart beat away in a world unknown;
When we leave earth and say "good-bye"
We'll leave behind...every pain and groan.
When we take our Heavenly flight,
God will then, our soul reclaim;
We'll meet Jesus first of all,
Some day...when God calls our name.
Troubles on earth will be erased,
There won't be tears of sorrow anymore;
We will have Joy in our hearts to stay,
When we meet loved ones on Heaven's shore.
Some day, we'll join them for a reunion,
Leaving all cares of this life behind us;
Lean on Jesus, today, for comfort and peace,
His Love is real, so let's obey and trust.
A personal message if you grieve today...
Think of the good times you had together,
Remember the sparkle in your loved ones eyes;
Keep the memories alive in your tender heart,
Your dear one has gone where no-one dies.

Forgive And Forget
Trials of life may cause us to fret,
Burdens often are heavy for us to bear;
We may be offended by someone and yet,
We need to place it all into God's care.
It is difficult, sometimes, to forgive,
It's even more trouble-some to forget;
We must press on...forgive...and live,
God is not finished with us yet.
Someone may have troubled you this day,
Leaving you disgusted and discouraged too;
Pause a moment and take time to pray,
Let God have His loving way within you.
It may be difficult for you to let-go,
Pause and think of what Jesus would do;
He is our Saviour and Best Friend to know,
He wants to guide you all of life through.
We must not let anger or bitterness take root,
Jesus did not let these things enter into Him;
We will be known to others by our fruit,
Take a moment to forgive and begin again.
Jesus set the example while on the Cross,
"Father, forgive them...they know not what they do"
This is the prayer He prayed and all because...
We must learn to forgive and then forget, too.

God Keeps Watch
Each new day quickly fades away,
There's pleasure from the work God has done;
He gives to us over and over and over again,
From morning's dawn 'til the setting sun.
The Western sky is ablaze with colors,
We pause to watch God paint the sky;
The beauty seen is a glimpse of Heaven,
It's a beautiful moment money can't buy.
We view the stars and the moon above,
They sparkle and shine with their light;
The stars surely must represent Angels,
Keeping watch over us in the night.
God continues to keep watch over us too,
He knows if we stumble or go astray;
He is always willing to forgive if we ask,
There's power when we're on our knees to pray.
As we enjoy another evening's sunset,
Pause to think back for a moment on the day;
Forgive to be forgiven before the sun goes down,
Then there will be peace in the heart to stay.
Be thankful and give praise to God,
He has given blessings and favors again today;
As we come to the busy day's closure,
Don't forget ~ don't ever forget to pray.

Storms In Life
The storms in our life are difficult to bear,
Troubled seas of sorrow around us roll;
Winds of affliction may bring us to despair,
Then a soft breeze calms the weary soul.
Dark clouds drift across our blue sky,
Waves of anger may cross our stormy sea;
It is then, we pause to wonder "why"...
We tremble and cry, "Jesus, please pilot me."
Troubles arise in many forms of disguise,
Shadows of trust across the mind may dart;
Tears fall as heavy rain to dim the eyes,
Calm streams then soothe our fearful heart.
While the storm rages...let Jesus take control,
He protects us from seen and un-seen harms;
He is Faithful and the Keeper of our soul,
He holds us tenderly in His Everlasting Arms.
He safely guards each weary step we take,
He is patient, kind, loving and true;
Trust Him in the darkness and when we awake,
He leads, guides and directs us 'til life is through.
When the storm passes by...give Him praise,
Our anchor in Him will buoy us on with hope
for our goal.
He keeps us safe...by His marvelous Grace,
We will rest steadfast and secure with a haven
for our soul.
