New Kids Poetry Page

Hey, Kids, have you ever thought you might like to write a poem? And if you wrote a poem and won our New Poetry Contest, wouldnīt it be neat to have your poem and perhaps your picture on the New Kids Poetry Page? I think that would be super-duper cool, donīt you? And get this kids, if your poem is voted the best one of the month you will also get a Poetry Award! Tara will email your award to you if you have the Best Poem of the month. Your award will also be placed permanently on the web page, so anyone who visits the Kids Poetry Page will see it! Pretty neat, huh? We will also have a certificate for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runners up every month. The winners will receive their certificate by email, and the certificates will remain on the web page too.

We have a few simple rules to follow for each one who wants to submit a poem. You must be 3 to 8 years old. The poem must be an original poem in your own words.  It is okay if you tell your parents what you want to write, as long as they write down the poem just the way you say it. Parents can also type your poems and submit them to Tara.  You may also submit as many as three poems a month for the contest.  Remember kids, that each of you is a winner because God loves you, and you are so special to Him and to us. God bless you, Tara

Mr. Frog loves to write poetry, do you?

Parents! When you submit a poem or poems, please include at least your childīs first name, age, and state where you reside. So every child will have a chance to win I have included two age categories for the contest; ages 3-5 and 6-8. A panel of judges will determine the winners. Even if your child does not win the first month, reapply again the next month. No child will go unnoticed.  I will have an alternate page for those who did not win, and the childīs name and poem will remain on that page. I believe that every child is special and loved by God. Recently, my six-year old grandson wrote a poem and another Web Site saw it and sent him an award. He was so thrilled and it gave him such a wonderful sense of self-worth. He inspired me to make these new pages for the kids, so they too can be blessed.  I will place Jacobīs poem and award on the first page to generate enthusiasm, so the kids will be inspired to participate.  Anytime there is a tie for the Best Poem of the month, both kids will be recognized as the Winner.
