Heaven's Solace

Our Soldiers For Freedom

Rambling on, he follows through,
He tells a story, so sad and true.
He speaks of war and of the few,
Men who survived to tell the truth.

A tribute to men, who risked their lives,
To save our freedom, A few have survived.
They helped their country, but not in strife,
To them it was worth it; Saving a life.

I hold highly these soldiers, to them we do owe,
So much for our freedom, they helped to bestow.
We owe them so much, for this you should know,
Our soldiers, Sweet Freedom; It surely does show.

Earth's Destruction

The days are changing mildly,
The earth is falling apart.
Some say the writings of the Bible,
Are slowly becoming; It has start.

Landslides, tsunami's and earthquakes,
Are nature's way to decree.
This land is mine....remember,
I can crumble and flood, you shall see.

So many things occurring,
The earth, destroying itself.
The land is falling around us,
Endangering everyone's health.

From one end of the globe,
To the other - you can see.
The land is slowly disappearing,
For disaster is nature's decree.

Earth's Changes

Another year brings forth,
So much death and destruction.
The earth crumbles before us,
And the waters rage in succession.

So many ill fated sites,
Lie in store for this world.
Some are of man's own making.
Others are nature unfurled.

So many things have happened,
So much on earth has changed.
From the layout of the land,
With the land and sea exchanged.

Tried and True

"Do Unto Others As You Would
Have Others Do Unto You"
It's written in the Bible.
The words are tried and true.

If we could just get  along,
Even a little at a time.
Then the world would be a better place.
A happier place, you would find.

If only for a while,
If every one would try.
There would be no pain and suffering.
Not one reason one should die.

If we would follow His Word,
We would learn what to do.
For all that He has written,
Is forever tried and true.

A New Year Dawns

As a New Year dawns,
We think about our dreams.
We put things in perspective,
Of how it all should be.

We wish for the materialistic,
Think of plans yet to be made.
It's never things truly needed.
Thoughts of Jesus seem to fade.

We never say to Jesus,
Take me Lord, as your own.
Or try to be more Godly,
Or follow seeds that he has sown.

If only we would try,
To save more time for Him.
Life would be much better,
When in our hearts, we're born again.

His Power

Lay on me, Your healing hands,
Let me feel Your power.
Save me from this wretched life,
Your blessings on me, please shower.

Take away this lonliness,
Of things I no longer prosper.
Replace it with a peacefulness,
As only you can offer.

For at a moments notice,
Everything could change.
You have to trust your heart,
Faith in the Lord, you will gain.

Just believe in yourself,
As you believe in Him.
Then maybe your life,
Wouldn't seem so grim.

A Family Christmas

Sitting by the Christmas tree,
Family gathered all around.
Spending precious time together,
As snow falls to the ground.

Little ones running here and there.
Their eyes are all aglow.
Anxiously waiting to open gifts,
The excitement seems to grow.

The gifts, the fun and laughter.
The joy that's spread abound.
Time with family is so special,
With all the sights and sounds.

A Christmas Prayer

I'm sending this Christmas prayer,
With hopes that God will hear.
For I'm wishing peace and love,
To all those who are dear.

Let the praises be heard,
Throughout the land.
And let all who are listening,
To lend us a hand.

Live strong in His word.
Sing to Him in praise.
In this Christmas prayer,
Our voices we raise.

A Joyous Christmas

Hot cocoa by the fireplace,
Warm smiles all around.
Friends and Family join together,
As snow falls on the ground.
Warm greetings from loved ones,
Christmas is here.
All are in the spirit,
To share the Christmas cheer.
The story of Christ our Savior,
Is customarily read today.
For his birth is the reason,
We celebrate this day.
So, to all a joyous Christmas,
Blessings are sent your way.
May God keep you safe from harm,
And bless you on this special day.

A Time to Ponder

Singing His praises,
Enjoying the snow.
It makes me realize,
He's always in the know.

Never a moment,
To rest His mind.
He's always working,
Troubled hearts He shall find.

This time of year we ponder,
On what life has in store.
We celebrate His birth,
We help others and more.

The needy are no different,
They believe in God too.
They just need a helping hand,
To kindly get them through.

If we lived our lives like Jesus,
The good deeds would overwhelm.
We could help all that are willing,
Who can also help themselves.

It's a time of giving and sharing.
Help a friend when they are down.
Just remind them He is waiting,
And forever He'll be around.

A Tradition

Thanksgiving is a traditional time,
It's been passed down throughout the years.
One that's spread so widely,
And one we hold quite dear.

A special time of year,
When loved ones gather around.
To feast upon a meal so great,
The food so abounds.

It's a time to thank God,
For the food that we receive.
To bless us with His presence.
To be with us, as we leave.

Today is a day to thank the Lord,
For family and friends alike.
To spend precious time together,
And celebrate life.

Bless Me

Bless me with Your awesome power.
Wash away my sins.
Let me not be tempted, Lord.
I want to be whole again.

Keep me safe within your grasp.
Never let me wander far.
I say this prayer to you dear Lord.
For it comes from my heart.

Heal me with your gentle touch.
Your strength through me will soar.
Bless me and touch my heart,
This dear Lord, I implore.

Jesus is the Reason

Christmas is approaching,
The season of caring is here.
Time to be with friends and family,
Whether from far away or near.

A blessed time for sharing,
Where ever our hearts may lead.
Spending time with Christ, Our Savior.
My family and friends will be.

Sharing, Caring and Giving,
Are the topics of the season.
We share of our hearts and give what we have,
For Jesus is the reason.

Moment of His Time

How much would it cost,
For a little of your time?
What if Jesus was to charge us,
When something was on our mind?

How hard would it be to share,
Just a little of yourself ?
What if Jesus was also stingy,
And put your problems on a shelf?

How high would the price be,
For a moment of your time?
What would it be worth to know,
He's not charging you a dime?

If we put ourselves in his place,
Would we charge to help loved ones out?
Would we help them to be forgiven,
And leave them hopeful; without doubt?

Would we strive to make them happy,
To let their hearts fill with joy?
Or would you charge them for your time?
And their hope, you would destroy.

Helping and sharing...
Shouldn't cost a dime.
For Jesus would never charge us,
For even a moment of His time.

New Life

Lighten your heart,
And lift up your soul.
Whenever you're lonely,
The Lord seems to know.

Take a deep breath,
Breathe in a new life.
Trust in your Lord.
He'll be with you tonight.

He'll help you recover,
The feelings you've lost.
And rekindle your love,
For Him, at all cost.

Sacred Season

The sacred season has arrived.
Time to celebrate Jesus' birth.
It's the reason for the season,
With gifts of frankincense and myrrh.

Thrown out of context,
The reason, just not clear.
Instead of celebrating Jesus,
It's about Santa every year.

No singing and rejoicing,
To the Lord anymore.
It's replaced by Christmas stockings,
Gifts, candy and more.

We need to get the word out.
To rejoice and celebrate the Lord.
For this is the sacred season,
We must trust in His word.

Santa's Coming

Lights are twinkling on the tree,
The smell of goodies fills the air.
Little ones with eyes so bright,
Wish that Santa would soon be there.

The stockings are hung by the fireplace,
Waiting for Santa to fill them full.
With goodies and toys, you see.
Because to them..."Santa Rules!"

A restless sleep is spent tonight.
Children dreaming of what's in store.
Hoping they'll get what they wanted,
When they awake Christmas morn.

WHEN

When time is not on your side,
When hearts are aching close by.
When fear overcomes us deep within,
We need to release all our troubles to Him.

When joy is not close at hand,
When your time is always in demand.
When you have no time for you,
Talk to the Lord, He will know what to do.

When your will is compromised,
When your problems are super sized.
When you find all hope is lost,
Trust the Lord at all cost.

Wonderous Story

Christmas time is wonderous.
A blessed time to be..
Surrounded by your loved ones,
Your friends and family.

With Jesus to guard us,
From an abundance of sins.
To show us that His love...
Comes from deep within.

We celebrate His birth.
And tell about His life,
To carry out His word.
For we know that He is right.

So during this gracious season,
Let no one's heart be glum.
Just tell of His wonderous story,
Because His glory has begun.
