Peace Abounds To my dear mother, who is in Heaven and who I shall see again. A DUSTY ROAD I dreamed I walked with Jesus Along a dusty road And as we walked together He told me stories of old He spoke to me of the leper Who He had cleansed and made whole And of the woman at the well Whose life He did unfold He told me of a little girl Who all had thought was dead How He went to her and touched her How He gave her life instead And then He told me of the Cross That seemed so heavy to bear But then He turned and smiled at me I knew I was in His care And then when I awoke I thought of my Savior so sweet Glancing down I peer, Is that dust upon my feet? The temple curtain torn asunder, As angels watched in solemn wonder. "My God, where art thou"?, He cried aloud, As jeers and taunts arose from the crowd.
