Let Freedom Ring

Psalm 27: 1-14

The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; Whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?  When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.  Though a host encamps against me, my heart shall not fear; though wars arise against me, even then in this will I be confident.  One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for and insistently require. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord, in His presence all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty, the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness of the Lord and to meditate, consider and inquire in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; into the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.  And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy! I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.  Hear of Lord, when I cry aloud, have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me!  You have said, Seek My face; inquire for and require My presence as your vital need. My heart says to You, Your face, (Your presence), Lord, will I seek of necessity and on the authority of Your Word.  Hide not Your face from me; turn not Your servant away in anger. You Who have been my help! Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation!

Although my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord will take me up and adopt me as His child. Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain and even path because of my enemies, those who lie in wait for me.  Give me not up to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me; they breathe out cruelty and violence. What would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord´s goodness in the land of the living! Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.

Let Freedom Ring
‘A Soldier´s Prayer´

All the good-byes have been said,
All the tears are now held in check.
I look out the window as the helicopter,
Grows closer to our destination.

I am a husband, a father and a son.
But all those duties must now,
Be put aside for love of country,
And for all that stand for Freedom.

I humbly ask You, Lord,
To protect my family, loved ones and friends.
Watch over each child in America,
As they fear what the War might bring.

I know You will be right beside me, Lord,
Each step I trod on this foreign soil.
You are the Faithful God and in You I trust.
Protect each American and keep them safe.

Guide us, Lord, in each battle and give,
Each one of us courage and strength to endure.
Hide us from the enemies who seek our lives and,
Give us compassion and love for our fellowmen.

When the battle rages around us ever so close,
Speak peace into our troubled hearts and minds.
Help us to remember that You are in charge of Today,
And no matter what happens we will trust in You.

We grieve for the fallen and injured soldiers,
Who so gallantly gave their lives for a just cause.
We came to preserve and secure Freedom for all.
If I am one of the fallen, I pray I did not die in vain.

Lifting our Prayers to Heaven

We honor all of the courageous men and women who have left their homes and families to serve and protect our blessed United States of America. We salute them for their bravery and sacrifice, as they defend the cause of Freedom and break off the chains of tyranny that have oppressed these innocent people too long.  May Freedom ring throughout their Land, as oppression and cruelty fade into oblivion.
