Word Walk
Lord, may I be an example
Of what I learned today
From Your living holy word
My Christian walk to be displayed
Not just to my fellow Christians
But to those who need to believe
That living for Christ and His glory
May my witness be pure before all
May I live my words and be true
May my walk be evident and befall
How I daily live in You.
But prove yourselves to be doers of the word and not
merely hearers who delude themselves
For, if I can't live Your word daily
I must search my soul to find
What is keeping me from sharing
My loving Father and His ways sublime

Life's Trials
I am thankful for the heartaches and sorrows
For they lead my closer to Thee
If I had not walked with each of these
My lack of compassion would most likely be
I am thankful for the valleys of lonliness
For they made me search and find You
If I had not these moments from which to learn
My longsuffering would never have grew
Thank you, Dear Lord, for hopeless days
Full of things hard for me to comprehend
Since I have lived ones such as these
My understanding makes me a better friend
For if through the pain and trials I find
I'm being drawn to You and Your word
What joy in knowing, the love Your showing
Keeps me focused on promises~assured
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. (James 1:2)

Christian Friend
Though we seldom see each other
Chance meetings~bring on smiles
God has blessed my life with dear friends
He has placed along the miles
Miles of growth, trials and blessings
Miles of opportunities and love
Miles of giving, taking and forgiving
Transforming me more like Christ beloved.
Bearing with each other's transformations
Becoming my part in God's plan
Making me more like Him
Guided by His most gracious, patient hand

Thankful Heart
I thank the Lord for all His gifts
Every good thing He bestows
The blessings which He holds for me
And the love from which they flow
Father, Thy abundant grace
Truly, a gift divine
My soul, takes heart and holds its faith
In the Lord and His light that shines
Give me a spirit in which to give
Give me a heart that's true
Give me Thy purpose for which I live
How blessed to trust in You
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is
no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17

Love
Each of us experiences Love
It has many levels of depth
The height of which is God's love
It's to be witnessed and not kept
For how much love is inside a friend
Depends on how much you GIVE them
For how much God is inside your heart
Depends on how much you LIVE Him!
Witnessing God's love is witnessing God.
Share Him with someone today!

Forgiveness
Precious Father,
When fault lies at my doorstep
If I possess it in my heart
By not forgiving myself or others
Your true healing will never start
You command us to bring all before You
Confession and repenting ~ do set us free
Self-judgment is a sin, it's true
We fall short of who we can be
Not forgiving Others ~
Is a burden we should not carry
Only You, have the power to deliver from sin
Those who have strayed and those who tarry
We must place it in Your hands
Lord, when we have wronged another
When we have caused their hurt
We must make amends, washing our hands
Of the sin, we kept hid in our hearts
For our hearts to be free of these burdens
Your word and prayer are the key
Daily, we must come before You
To confess, repent, and receive
Your powers of forgiveness and redemption
From the sins we are apt to commit
Shower us with Your love and compassion
Giving to us, in turn, as we submit
to You!
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
(1 John 1:9)

His Word
I will memorize the Lord's word
I will place it in my heart
So, in sharing Him with others
It will strengthen and not depart
Except in bits and pieces
As His word lives out it's love
In the actions, that I take daily
Glorifying my Father above
Sanctify them in the truth;
Your word is truth. (John 17:17)

Christian Love
Let your Christian love shine through
In all the things you say and do
Set aside your wants and needs
To be aware of other's pleads
For to be one with God
and not let His love avail
Is like a ship on dry land
With no water on which to sail
Love needs to continue on it's journey
It is only spread by our willingness to give
It only grows by the actions of caring
Reaching out, to help others to live
For we know, it is God we are sharing
From us, His love~ we do impart
Let loose and Let God, be daring
What joy to bring Christ to a heart!

Souls Worship
When I find no words to reveal
The thoughts I wish to express
I find a song starts down in my soul
Reaching far into it's depths
With song, the words flow freely
I bear all my heart needs to give
Giving thanks to my Heavenly Father
For this life from Him ~ which I live
Make music unto the Lord
Let your voice praise His name
Let all creation resound with His love
Changing hearts, never to be the same
Praise the Lord in song, for He has done excellent things.
Let this be known throughout the earth. (Isaiah 12:5)

Day's Dawning
I take a moment, at the start of day
When I first awake, to the light
To lift prayer to my Heavenly Father
For His safe keeping through the night
My day starts best, in His holy rest
Before endless tasks crowd my hours
I commune with Jesus, God the Father
Seeking His strength, His will and power
With the day now set before me
Bathing it all, with reverent prayer
So, that the circumstances that befall me
Do not leave me unaware ~
Of the path on which He leadeth me
And the lives I am to touch
I need only to rely on His guidance
To listen, to act and to trust
May I not forego, the praise I know
To my Father ~ tis sweet music to hear
In these moments of the daylight's glow
Being drawn closer, in reverence, sincere

Enjoy Life
Enjoy the life God gave you!
Share a laugh or two
Watch, as it spreads to others
Then comes right back to you
Laughter, smiles and joy
Can and should be in your days
Help another see the lighter side today
Helping them enjoy life's ways
God didn't mean for us to be too serious
He didn't mean for us to carry gloom
So, drink in this life, be delirious
On the joy God has placed in YOU!

His Spirit
The Lord came to me in Spirit
He whispered His love to me
He made a home within my heart
So, as one, we shall ever be
So, when my day seems trying
He is but a prayer away
His Spirit of Truth confiding
Answering my needs through all the day
It might not be in ways I'm expecting
It might be in ways, obscure
To my human mind ~ reflecting
I shall be steadfast, trusting and secure
Thank you, Jesus, for the Holy Spirit
My guiding light in this world so vast
Keeping my path free, daily clearing it
Making way for good works that last
Eternity with God is infinite~
His presence forever to share
I will be honored and humbled to live it
Coming before Him, my Lord so fair

The Gift We Share
I'm thankful for the gift of salvation
For God, giving thought to my life~so small
His wonderful plan to save His creation
From the desolate sin of man's fall
This gift I should not enjoy, solely
For there are many who need to hear
Of what my dear Savior did for me
I shall share His message, without fear
For what do I fear, but to be labeled
As one who loves Him so,
That I would do all that I'm able
To let another, in need of Him know
Of His grace and mercy to be given
If their hearts are ready to be His
So, my Lord can give live worth livin'
By following His divine way to live
