THE DAYS BEFORE NOAH
We all know the story of Eve being tempted by the serpent and the end result of Adam's sin. After they were driven out of the Garden of Eden, Cain and Abel were born. After they were grown, Cain murdered Abel and was cursed by God. Cain then went out from the presence of the LORD, and lived east of Eden. Seth was then born to Adam and Eve. And Eve said: "For God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew."
Here are the generations of Adam and the meaning of each man's name. Notice that neither Cain nor Abel is mentioned here in this genealogy. Seth was Abel's replacement. These are the descendants' names and their meanings. But, is that simply all they are? You will be amazed!

God purposed each name and their meanings. This was meant as hope for those who walked with God. But for all those who came after (such as our generation), it is comfort and assurance that God has always been in charge!

Man was indeed frail because he is flesh, and during this time the world was deplorable. But then the Blessed God Descended to Earth as a Dedicated Teacher, and with His sacrifice, spiritual Death was sent away! And He became Powerful after His resurrection. And Rest and Comfort is our promise of Heaven! What a blessing! And we thought the genealogy of the Bible was boring!
It is interesting to note that the cainites were a progressive people. They built huge cities, were taught music and trades, and were inventors. However, Cain and his seed, led lives that were steeped in religious falsehood and spiritual darkness. They were obsessed with the accumulation of material things. They lived their lives in sensual pleasures. Nothing is said about the duration of Cain's life, or the lives of his seed. There is nothing recorded in the Bible about their deaths. Cain's curse has followed all his generations.
The record of Seth and his descendants were kept in detail. Seth lived 105 years and fathered Enos. Enos lived 90 years and fathered Cainan. Cainan lived 70 years and fathered Mahaleel. Mahaleel lived sixty-five years and fathered Jared. Jared lived 162 years before he fathered Enoch. Enoch lived sixty-five years and fathered Methuselah. Six alleged gang members ran a drug den in the apartment of a senile elderly woman, even eating her free senior-citizen meals. Five adults and a teenager were arrested on a variety of charges, including elder abuse, and remained in jail on $200,000 bail. The 84-year-old woman's apartment was filled with drugs and crack pipes and the walls were covered with gang graffiti. Lookouts allegedly had helped keep social workers and police at bay for months. The house was just a pigsty. They turned the old woman into one of them ~ they literally made her like a gang member. The woman has since been moved to another home by social workers.

A U.S. military pilot and a sergeant were being held on federal narcotics charges, after admitting they flew an Air Force jet from New York to Germany and returned with 290,000 pills of Ecstasy worth millions of dollars.

49 People Charged in Georgia Meth Bust
Forty-nine people and sixteen corporations were charged in indictments with supplying ingredients for making methamphetamine. The investigation began in early 2004, and focused on convenience stores in six north Georgia counties. Investigators say they had informants go to each of the stores and buy ingredients used to make methamphetamine. The informants allegedly told the store clerks, or storeowners that they wanted to use the products to make the drug. The ingredients sold included pseudoephedrine, ephedrine, camping fuel, antifreeze and matchbooks.

EVANSVILLE, Ind.
The crippling reach of methamphetamine abuse has become the nation's leading drug problem affecting local law enforcement agencies, according to a survey of 500 sheriff's departments in 45 states. More than half of the sheriffs interviewed for the N. A .C. Survey said they considered meth the most serious problem facing their departments. "We're finding out that this is a bigger problem than we thought." About 90 percent of those interviewed reported increases in meth-related arrests in their counties over the last three years, packing jails in the Midwest and elsewhere.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.
Federal drug agents launched a wide-ranging crackdown on medical marijuana providers in northern California, arresting at least 17 people in San Francisco and Sacramento. Fifteen people were arrested in San Francisco as drug agents searched three pot clubs and more than 20 homes and businesses.
The searches capped a two-year investigation into an alleged marijuana and ecstasy trafficking ring. "It was a large scale operation" with ties to other countries. The pot clubs were fronts for operations having to do with "illegal cultivation of marijuana, money laundering and distribution of ecstasy."

Father Convicted for Letting Son Drive Drunk
A man was convicted of manslaughter for giving beer to his 15-year-old son and letting him drive a truck that then crashed, killing the boy and his two brothers. The man bought the beer for his three sons and three of their friends and then let the oldest son, who did not have a permit, drive the truck while he rode beside him in the cab. The others also rode along. The truck hit a car head-on, killing the 15 yr old driver, the 13-year-old and the 11-year-old brothers. The other boys were also hurt, but the dad survived. The judge accused the man of "the most reckless and despicable behavior."
MIAMI, Fla.
School bus drivers, attendants and other co-workers were charged by federal prosecutors Thursday with taking part in an illegal drug ring involving the powerful painkiller OxyContin. According to the indictment, Miami-Dade school employees were among 29 people who used more than 100 forged or fraudulent prescriptions to obtain thousands of tablets of OxyContin from South Florida pharmacies. The school workers were recruited to use their health-insurance cards as part of the scheme. Of those charged in the grand jury indictment, five are Miami-Dade school bus drivers, 13 are school bus attendants and one is a former school bus driver now driving a city bus. Two school custodians, a cook and a cashier were also charged, along with a Miami doctor and five other people. Those charged face up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine for each count of possession of OxyContin with intent to distribute, as well as additional prison time for fraud charges. OxyContin is legal if prescribed for treatment of severe chronic pain. But it has become an increasing problem on the black market because crushing the time-release tablets and snorting or injecting the powder yields an immediate, heroin-like high. Hundreds of deaths are blamed each year on overdoses.

Man Convicted of Child Abuse for 'Exorcism'
A self-described minister was found guilty Friday of abusing an 8-year-old autistic boy who died in what prosecutors called an exorcism at a storefront church. Prosecutors say the man lay on the boy's chest for at least an hour, while trying to release "demons" from him before the boy died. Jurors found the minister, 46, guilty of a felony charge of physical abuse of a child - recklessly causing great bodily harm. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and five years of extended supervision. The boy died August 22, at Faith Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith in Milwaukee. The medical examiner ruled the boy died of suffocation. (2004)

A man was arrested on charges he kidnapped his girlfriend's 8-year-old granddaughter, then raped and killed her. They young girl's body was found under some trees on a gravel road, about 70 miles west of Sioux Falls. The 41 year old suspect was charged of first-degree murder, rape and kidnapping. (2005)

A young man convicted of raping and murdering 16 boys was lashed 100 times, and then hanged in front of a large, angry crowd who pelted him with stones. The young man, 23, confessed in court to raping and murdering the children, between March and September 2004. The man burned the bodies of his victims, all boys between 8 and 15.

Obscenity Forcibly Tattooed on Teen
A man and a teenager have been charged with forcibly tattooing an obscenity on the forehead of a 17-year-old boy, police said Monday. The victim - whose name was withheld by police - walked into the Norwich police station Friday to file a complaint against his attackers. The victim told officers he had been held down by a man and another teen at a Norwich residence while they forcibly tattooed the vulgarity. (2005)

Boy, 12, Planned to Kill School Principal
A boy who brought a loaded gun to an elementary school planned to shoot a principal who had disciplined him, authorities say. The 12-year-old Elementary School student was in court Monday with two other fifth graders, all charged after school officials found the gun. The three discussed killing the principal, then running away to Florida. One boy brought the gun and some clothes to school, while the other two boys packed nothing. When the boy showed his friends the gun, they told a teacher, who evacuated the room and took the gun. Deputies found a drawing inside the armed boy's backpack showing "two Grim Reapers over a mangled body," and he told them the body was the principal. A judge ordered him Monday to be kept in a juvenile prison. The other two students, both 12 years old, were charged with conspiracy and released to their parents where they will remain under house arrest. (2005)

A 14-year-old middle school student has been arrested on suspicion of trying to poison her teacher. Investigators say the girl told police she put cleaning fluid in the teacher's lemonade because she was upset that the teacher had not allowed her to leave class to go to the restroom. The 34-year-old teacher became ill and was treated at hospital. Authorities say the incident occurred when students were being dismissed and the teacher left a cup of lemonade setting on the piano. Other pupils told investigators they saw the girl put the cleaner into the drink, but they didn't try to warn the teacher.
DANDRIDGE, Tenn.
Three middle school students were charged with plotting to kill a teacher for disciplining one of them, and bringing a gun to school to carry out their plan, authorities said. The plot was foiled when the handgun discharged in a bathroom at the Middle School, as the boys were examining it. The bullet went through a door and hit one of the students in the leg. It could have been worse had she not been sick that day," The Sheriff said of the teacher. "She didn't come to school. So she was very fortunate." The boys, two 12-year-olds and a 14-year-old, were charged in juvenile court with conspiracy to commit murder and possessing a weapon on school grounds Two of the boys remained in custody, while the injured boy was under house arrest.

A 15-year-old boy who had shown strong interest in the Columbine school shootings has been arrested for allegedly plotting to blow up his high school, authorities said. The high school sophomore had assembled bomb-making materials including gunpowder and fuses, and a search of his home showed that the boy was seemingly fascinated with the Columbine massacre. The student talked about his plans with other students. He had stated an intent to blow up the school, and he had purchased the gunpowder, primers, pipes which had already been bored out, and the ball bearings.

DUBLIN, Ga.
Police said a 15-year-old girl robbed and fatally shot two men who had given her and a 14-year-old friend a ride to a motel. The older girl flagged down the two victims on the side of the road, and asked them to give her and her companion a ride. On the way to the motel, the car made several stops, including at a home where the 15-year-old picked up the small-caliber gun she used in the shootings. The two men checked into separate rooms, and the 15-year-old later walked into each room and shot the men dead. The Fifteen-year-old from Dublin was charged with murder and armed robbery. The 14-year-old was charged with armed robbery.

A South African farmer and one of his employees were found guilty of murder for attacking a farm worker with machetes and throwing him into a lion enclosure, bringing to climax a case that rattled a country long accustomed to violence and crime. The victim, 41, was attacked when he returned to the farm to collect some belongings after his dismissal. He was beaten with machetes, tied up and then driven in a truck to a reserve for white lions in a nearby village, where he was thrown over the fence. Some 22 witnesses and a variety of forensic experts were called to give evidence, which included shreds of the victim's bloodstained shirt and trousers. A man lifting his infant daughter out of his car was killed in an apparent case of road rage by a motorist "who obviously exploded" and shot him four times at close range in front of dozens of witnesses, authorities said. The victim's 10-month-old girl was covered with blood, but uninjured when police found her in a car seat on the floor of the vehicle.

He says his black lipstick and red eye makeup express the Wiccan religious beliefs he shares with his mother, a priestess in the neo-pagan faith. A woman was arrested for allegedly forcing her 12-year-old daughter into prostitution and trading a 14-year-old daughter for a car. The 39-year-old woman was charged with aggravated child abuse and sexual performance by a child. The youngest girl and her mother were living out of their car, and would sell sex for food and an occasional shower at the men's homes. The youngest daughter is three months pregnant; she was 11 when her mother first forced her to have sex with a man. The older daughter refused to be a prostitute and she was sold to a man for a Mercury Cougar, but he never gave the mother the vehicle, and he was arrested in the case.
NORCO, Calif.
Two golf course managers and a tournament organizer were sentenced to house arrest for hosting two competitions featuring prostitutes and strippers stationed along the putting greens. The Superior Court Judge chided the three for their "immoral and illegal actions" at the so-called girlie tournaments. More than a dozen prostitutes and strippers, including a 16-year-old girl, set up tents and advertised their services on boards. Sheriff's deputies wearing camouflage raided the second tournament, detaining 90 golfers and 17 strippers and alleged prostitutes, along with golf course workers. All three were sentenced to 125 days of house arrest. (2003)

A man was beaten to death after catching his wife's lover living in a closet in their home. The 35- year- old man was charged with homicide in the slaying of the 44-year-old man. The man's wife had allowed her lover to live in a closet of their four-bedroom home, for about a month without her husband's knowledge. The man ordered his wife to get the man out of the house while he went for a walk. When her husband returned, the man confronted him with a shotgun, forced him into a bathroom and bludgeoned him to death.

Cops Probe Child and Animal Sex Abuse
'Satanic Church"
Authorities gathered new evidence from the home of a former pastor accused of leading a church group in "cult-like" rituals involving the sexual abuse of children and animals. Authorities seized cars belonging to three of the eight arrested suspects in the case and also searched the home of former Hosanna Church Pastor. "They took a few computers." Authorities issued an arrest warrant for another woman, bringing to nine the number of suspects. A 46-year-old man who lived in an apartment on the church complex has been accused of raping a girl who was 9 or 10. Members of the "church" carried out these practices for years, as part of a Devil ~ worshipping ritual involving cat blood, one of the members said. "This is hard to talk about and harder to believe, but some of the suspects have told us their intention in all of this was devil worshipping. The people involved in the cult reportedly had sex with children and animals from 1999, until the church disbanded in 2003. The victims in the case range from toddlers to teenagers. A conviction on sex-abuse charges involving juveniles under age 12 can result in the death penalty. Some of the victims are dogs and cats. The sheriff said one of the suspects had sex with that dog, and that blood from a cat was used in the cult's rituals. The dog and cat apparently were pets belonging to members of the church's congregation.

It is these who are setting up distinctions and causing divisions ~ merely sensual creatures, carnal, worldly-minded people, devoid of the Holy Spirit and destitute of any higher spiritual life.

KANSAS CITY, Kan.
A man accused of killing three people, and eating the flesh of one of them, may be forcibly medicated to make him competent to stand trial. The man, age 24, is charged with killing two men and a teenage boy. When he was arrested, he claimed he had heard voices telling him to eat flesh and drink blood. He also cut up the teenager's body, then cooked and ate an undetermined amount of his flesh. He had planned to freeze the rest of the body and eat it later, a detective testified. (2005)
KARLSRUHE, Germany
A German court Friday ordered a retrial for a man convicted last year of killing and eating another man, giving prosecutors a chance to get a tougher sentence than one imposed last year by a lower court. The man was sentenced by a court to 8½ years for manslaughter in the death of a 43 -year-old man. Prosecutors appealing that sentence said he should be given a life sentence for murder. He confessed in the original trial of killing the man at his home in Rotenburg, but he claimed the victim had agreed to be killed. He said the man traveled from Berlin after answering the man's Internet posting seeking a young man for "slaughter and consumption. He contends that the young man came to me of his own free will to end his life.
BATH, PA.
A Seventy-year-old woman who was known as a friendly person who baked cookies for the neighbors and talked too much. Nothing about the white-haired senior citizen suggested a capacity for violence. But she bludgeoned her 84-year-old neighbor to death with a hammer. She allegedly attacked her neighbor with the claw end of a hammer. The woman died 13 minutes after being rushed to the emergency room; the coroner said she had been struck in the head 37 times. Police found the murdered woman's wallet and checkbook in the suspect's house, and her face, hair, and orange stirrup pants were covered in the blood of the slain woman. "I was shocked when I saw the photos of this woman's face. It was unrecognizable. In the 13 years I've been DA, I never saw such brutality." (2005)

COPENHAGEN, Denmark
Danish police have issued an international arrest warrant for a 34-year-old American from Philadelphia, in connection with the killing of a Dane whose dismembered body was found in Copenhagen over Easter. On March 26, two legs and an arm were discovered in a container. Two days later, the rest of the body - in three parts - was discovered in an alleyway a few hundred meters away. (2005)
TRENTON, N.J.
The wife of a New Jersey man whose body was hacked up, put in three suitcases and dumped in the ocean last year was arrested in the death. The woman, 32, will be charged with first-degree murder in the death of her husband. Her husband was killed April 29, 2004. His dismembered body was found in his own matching luggage in the Chesapeake Bay near Norfolk, Va. Authorities believe she shot her husband in the chest and torso before the body was dissected and placed in suitcases that were dumped off the Virginia coast.
BROWNSVILLE, Texas
A twenty-year-old woman and her 24-year-old, common-law husband were accused of strangling and decapitating their 3-year-old daughter, the 1-year-old boy, and their 2-month old daughter. A relative called police, who found the girls stuffed in a trash bag and the boy on a bed. The couple told police they thought the children were possessed.
LINTHICUM, Md.
The United Methodist Church reversed itself, deciding to reinstate a lesbian minister who was defrocked after revealing her relationship with another woman.
A church panel voted 8 to 1 to set aside an earlier decision to defrock Irene Beth Stroud for violating the church's ban on openly gay clergy. The Philadelphia minister said she was relieved by the ruling and hopes the church will become more inclusive to people regardless of sexual orientation.
SACRAMENTO, Calif.
A California law granting domestic partners nearly identical legal rights as married couples, does not conflict with a voter-approved ban on gay marriage, a state appeals court ruled. California's domestic partner law represents the nation's most sweeping recognition of domestic partner rights short of Massachusetts, where gay marriage is legalized, and Vermont, which recognizes civil unions for gay couples. It grants registered couples virtually every spousal right under state law except the ability to file joint income taxes.

SUVA, Fiji
A retired Australian university lecturer was sentenced to two years in prison for having homosexual sex with a local man in Fiji, where such acts are outlawed. The man, 55, told the magistrate he did not know it was illegal in Fiji to engage in sex with the 23-year-old. Both were jailed for two years, after admitting charges of committing an unnatural offense and indecent behavior. The magistrate described their behavior as "something so disgusting that it would make any decent person vomit."

A gay and nudist cruise ship was barred from stopping at the tiny Caribbean island of Nevis, after authorities said the group would offend local customs. The Nevis port authority confirmed that they barred the ship from docking. We don't want it to be a part of our culture. "It's not a practice society likes here."

I Did Not Say This, God did! Take It Up With Him!
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their own hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves (abandoning them to the degrading power of sin), because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather then the Creator, Who is blessed forever! For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one. And the men also turned from natural relations with woman and were set ablaze (consumed) with lust for one another--- men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrongdoing and going astray, which was their fitting retribution. And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome. Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. They were full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. They were secret backbiters and gossipers, slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, and boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents. They were without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless and merciless. Though they are fully aware of God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but also approve and applaud others who practice them.
