Oh, Majestic Father,
We come to you in the name of our blessed Redeemer, Jesus, Your only begotten Son. We bow before you in heart and spirit, ever mindful of your awesome power. We are filled with the knowledge that You alone, are the True Creator, our Most High God. We realize our only hope is in You. We implore You, to look down upon us in Your mercy and grace.

Father, our hearts are filled with overwhelming grief, like none we have ever experienced as a Nation. Our minds are full of darkness, confusion, shock, disbelief and fear. The nation that You have so blessed, now quakes with unforgettable images branded in our minds and hearts. We are like lost children crying out for rescue. We are now a people united, but a people broken and wounded. So many lives gone in seconds; hundreds injured. Tears fall in torrents, while our minds race to comprehend the devastation, death, and what lies ahead for the surviors and we as a country.

Father, we know that You are aware of our pain. We ask that You send Your Spirit, to comfort the families of those who have lost loved ones. We ask for strength and healing for those who have been injured. We ask that You send ministering angels to assist the workers, who dig through the rubble seeking those who might still be alive. Bless each of us with Your peace, as we walk through this valley of death.

We beg your forgiveness for this nation, a nation that has for too long pushed you aside. Help us to realize how fragile life is and how unimportant material things are compared to life. Forgive us for the abominable sins that have become acceptable in men´s eyes, but are ever disgusting in Your eyes. The blood of innocent unborn babies cry out for revenge. Too many lives suffer because of abuse, neglect, unbridled-passions and adultery. Satan corrupts our children and destroys all things that were once pure. We ask forgiveness for our backsliding. Our sins are many. Open the blinded eyes of those who depend on self and reject Your love and deny Your existence. Bring us into full unity as a people for God and under God. We ask Your forgiveness and humble ourselves before You. We ask Lord, that You once more bless America. Rain peace and understanding into our present chaos and fear. We ask that You speak wisdom into our President and all those in charge of our country. We ask for safety to surround us like a blanket, and love for even our enemies.

Today, we as a nation have been humbled. Many of us beg Your forgiveness and ask that You cover the sins of our nation with your cleansing blood. We also pray that many will fall on their knees and seek help from You, our mighty fortress. Hide us, Father, in Your secret place of refuge and allow us to abide under Your wings. For it is in You that we move, and breathe and live. We thank You, for the many blessings you have bestowed on us for so long.
