Questions and Answers

Man is riddled with countless questions about God's Word. Some believe every word to be true, others scoff and deny its very existence. But the question still remains. Who is Jesus? Was He really the savior who came to save a lost and dying world? Perhaps since the Jews rejected Him, was He a counterfeit? Many are the questions and varied are the multitude of answers. But the Truth still remains, Jesus Christ was and is the spotless Lamb of God. He was God manifest in the flesh, the only worthy One to save mankind from the plight of sin. He lived, He died, He rose again! He was seen of many after his resurrection and before His ascension back to Heaven. One day soon, He will again visit this Earth, but this time He will appear as the conquering King. The King of Kings and LORD of Lords. So let the sceptics say what they will.......because His Truth Reigns supreme! Tara Hart

This page is devoted to finding the Truth about scriptures that sometimes baffle us. I do not have all the answers and my answers may not line up with yours, as there is varied beliefs and interpretations of the Scriptures. However, it is Godīs desire that we seek His answers to the best of our ability and this is my aim. Sometimes, to find the real Truth, we must put aside our preconceived beliefs and doctrines, and take a fresh look at what the Bible really has to say. Above all, we must each (individually) study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that needs not be ashamed when He stands before his God. We must not rely on the manīs words, for we are all fallible. Below is the question(s) that I will attempt to answer. This page is not for disputing Godīs Word, but feel free to voice your opinion, if you feel I am in the wrong pertaining to specified questions and answers on this page. Periodically, I will post rebuttals of those who in a loving manner disagree. Any rebuttals that I receive that contain negativity, apparent heresy, deception, or bad language, will not be posted. God bless each of you, and I pray this page will be a blessing to many and an eye-opener to others. Tara Hart

Question:

When a fetus is aborted or miscarried what happens to the fetus? Do these fetuses have souls, and if so, how does God react?

Answer:

We will consider the present three views concerning a fetus.   View One contends that the a fetus is nothing more than tissue; as one would consider an organ in the body.  Those who hold this view normally refer to the fetus as ‘a thing’.  View Two states that the fetus is a ‘potential human life,’ in the process of becoming a human being.  The Third view is the one that the Bible presents. The fetus is a living soul, a human life.  Being so, the fetus is entitled to every protection offered to any other human being and should not be destroyed.

Jewish thought on this matter suggests that three persons are involved in conception (father, mother and deity). This is my belief as well. The Bible clearly supports this view as well. In Job 10:8-12, Job describes his development in the womb with poetic language. In these passages is seen a picture of the fetal development and Job indicates God’s role and interest from the day of his conception until his birth. Job also verifies that life was present at the immediate point of conception. God preserved Job’s spirit by exercising care to keep Job alive through each stage of growth and development.  Also, in Job 3: 3, Job’s personal existence is ascribed from the moment of conception. Job was a man -child from the time that he was conceived.

One of the most descriptive of pre-natal development in the Bible is Psalm 139: 13-16

“For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret and intricately and curiously wrought as if embroidered with various colors in the depths of the earth ( a region of darkness and mystery). Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days of my life were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. “

It is not surprising that David praises God as he contemplates the remarkable miracle of creation.  How wonderful are the ways of our God! Though the emerging embryo could not be observed from the outside of his mother’s protective womb, yet God was aware and carefully oversaw David’s growth. Long before he was a discernable form, God was there watching over David each day. God had also already written his name in the Book of Life and had ordained a life for him, and all of this happened in the early days after his mother’s conception. It is clear that David at some time in his existence, realized and considered himself to be a person well before the time of his birth.

Isaiah in his writings remarked and claimed that God had called him for service and even named him while he was still in the womb. Isaiah 49:1 & 5  foretells Isaiah’s birth and calling. “Listen to me, O isles and coastlands, and hearken, you peoples from afar.  The Lord has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother, He has named my name.”

“And now, says the Lord Who formed me from the womb to be His servant to bring Jacob back to Him and that Israel might be gathered to Him and not be swept away, for I am honorable in the eyes of the Lord and my God has become my strength.”

Jeremiah also in his writings claimed that God called him from his mother’s womb. We find this in Jeremiah 1: 4-5 “Then the word of the Lord came to  me (Jeremiah) saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew and approved of you as My chosen instrument, and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; and I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” What a privilege it must have been for Jeremiah to hear directly from God about his future. I know there are many who would say that God usurped Jeremiah’s free will by deciding his destiny. But nothing is farther from the truth. God said, before I formed you in the womb, I knew and approved of you. God knew because He looked down through the eons of time and saw the kind of man Jeremiah would be, thus he sanctified Jeremiah and reserved Jeremiah as His chosen vessel before he was even born.

The Bible does not come right out and say when ‘the soul’ is placed into an unborn baby. However, given the testimonies of these 4 men of the Bible, it would seem that since Job, David, Isaiah and Jeremiah all claimed to be a person while still in their mother’s wombs, then at some point in their development God placed their soul inside them. It is my estimation that since He knew them before they were conceived, that it would seem plausible that at conception the soul was immediately placed.  Luke 1:39-45 tells how Mary arose shortly after the angel of the Lord told her that she would conceive Jesus, to visit her cousin Elizabeth who was  six months pregnant for John the Baptist. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, John leaped in Elizabeth’s womb. Since Elizabeth was already 6 months at that time, and Mary stayed with Elizabeth about 3 months, then Mary must have conceived shortly after she talked with the angel.  This would put Mary no more than a month into her pregnancy, and if baby John leaped in Elizabeth’s womb when Mary spoke, then it is reasonable to assume that the soul of Jesus had already been placed in Mary’s womb, thus Jesus could not be considered a blob of tissue, nor a potential human life. He was a human being complete with a soul.

Millions upon millions of innocent babies have been slaughtered with the approval of our Government. Abortion is murder and it is an abomination to God.  God watches each fetus that is conceived, and He sees the hands dripping with innocent blood.  His tears spill over the portals of Heaven each time one of His Creations is ruthlessly killed.  One day the murderers will stand before their Creator and they will have no defense for their actions. Venegence is Mine says the LORD!

In regard to this great Book (the Bible), I have but to say,
it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good Savior
gave to the world was communicated through this Book.
But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things
most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are
found portrayed in it.--- Abraham Lincoln
